TERMS OF SERVICE
1.1 Great Lakes Technology offers computer service, repair and upgrading services as is. We believe business should be conducted honestly and fairly. We strive to provide the highest quality of service and support. We cannot guarantee specific results for our services, but will operate under the principles stated above.
2. BILLING TERMS
2.1 Computer servicing and repair services are billed at an hourly rate. Charges will be calculated in half-hour increments, rounded up by default, and carry a minimum hour charge. We may, on a case-by-case basis, choose to round down to the nearest half-hour.
2.2 We will provide you with an estimate of cost for the work that you request us to do if asked. In the case that we foresee a deviation on cost of job completion beyond the above stated allowable amount, we will make every effort to contact you and inform you of the situation and receive authorization to continue or stop at the estimate limit. In the case we cannot reach you, we will continue to work until the estimate limit is reached. Once reached, we will halt work until contact is established.
3. PAYMENT TERMS
3.1 Full payment is due upon completion of servicing, upgrading or repair. Failure to pay may result in the debt being turned over to a collections agency and reporting to the credit bureau. You will be responsible for all costs incurred by us, collection agencies, or courts incurred by litigation for failure to pay. We are not responsible for items left over 90 days.
4.1 We provide our services in an effort to fix, upgrade, or otherwise repair the computer systems for which you request such services. We will not intentionally harm your system. Our goal is to fix your computer, not damage it. In the case of accidental damage to your system or data, further damage or data loss caused by already existing problems in your system such as viruses, misconfigured software, or hardware problems/failures, you agree to hold us, Great Lakes Technology, and any persons associated with or involved in the work being done for you harmless from damages resulting from such problems.
4.2 We are not responsible for warranties voided or devices being locked (also known as bricked) due to services performed on your computer, phone, tablet, or other devices. Great Lakes Technology is not responsible for phones that stop working due to hardware/software limitations by the phone manufacturer.
5.1 Customer satisfaction is of utmost importance to us. Support will be provided for problems requested to be resolved in the work order but not resolved. Additional support for other services may be provided free of charge or for additional fees at our discretion.
COMPUTER SERVICE WORK ORDER
I request that Great Lakes Technology and contractors for the Great Lakes Technology Company, perform system repair on my personal or business computer, phone, tablet, or other device and that the software provided to them by me to install is a legal version and that the device provided by you is not stolen and is hereby authorized to be repaired by the owner. We are not responsible for items left over 90 days after repair and will consider these items abandoned and may sell these items to recoup service expenses.
